There has been a long tradition of Scouting in our village and we are thriving because of the investment of time and effort by all our volunteer supporters, present and past, including our amazing section leaders – currently Beaver Colony and Cub Pack Leaders.

Whatever your interest in our Scout Group – you may be looking for a place in our Beavers or Cubs, keen to become a volunteer leader, or just curious about our activities – we hope that our website will provide you with useful and relevant information, we would appreciate any feedback to help us improve this service.

Our ambitions

This is an exciting time for our Haddenham 1^st Scout Group. The Scout Group Committee comprises enthusiastic, experienced and skilful volunteers from our village. We have embraced the national Scouting Vision 2018 -2023 with its emphasis on Skills for Life, Fun, Challenge and Adventure and have produced our own strategic plan for the next 3 years.

We aim to:

– Establish our own Haddenham Scout Troop;
– Attract more adult volunteers; in particular, new uniformed leaders to help us grow
– Raise our profile – we plan to launch our Scout Group website during the autumn
– Recruit girls to our Beavers and Cubs
– Explore the idea of a new, cost-effective Scout Group ‘home’
– Launch new fund-raising activities to help: pay for enrichment activities, replace ageing equipment and kick-start our drive for a new Scout Group home
– Increase our impact in the local community.
